Miracles can happen!

I don't know who I have told exactly, probably not enough of you, so here goes the story. You remember Chuck who is married to Julie Oliver, Jimmy's daughter. He had an inoperable brain tumor and wasn't expected to live. So for the past 4 years, he has struggled tremendously and has tried everything he could to get better. He was currently taking more chemo and/or radiation treatments, so he wasn't feeling very well. He went into his Doctor and they decided to do another MRI to see how the tumor was progressing. To his amazement and to the Dr's amazement, the tumor has disappeared! Aunt Loraine told me this story and it is with deep gratitude and love for Chuck and Julie, we are so excited to have miracles in our lives. I know that Chuck and Julie are extremely grateful for the opportunity to have a "new" lease on life. I'm so happy for their children, to not have the stress of knowing that their Father is so ill. What a great blessing in their lives and testimony to all of us that prayers are heard, and that Heavenly Father does love each and every one of us. Thank you Chuck for the example you were to each of us through this trial. Thank you, Julie for the courage and stamina you exhibited, also. We love you and are grateful for this miracle.

Thanksgiving Love

Here are some fun pictures from the past. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Just a little reminder of the guy that we all love so much. Thanksgiving always makes me think of him. It was such a special holiday. I am so grateful for the family that we have. We are so blessed to have such a great legacy and so much love to share among us. I hope that each one of you has a great Thanksgiving. Don't eat more than your share of Turkey and Dressing! But be sure and eat more pie than you can handle. I love you all so much. Thanks so much for everything that you do for me.

Where does the time go?

In two weeks it will be 1 year since we took this picture at the Oliver Reunion. Can you believe it? It seems like just yesterday to me, that we were all at the Rotary Park having that water fight doesn't it? Who has changed the most? Who has accomplished the most? Not me, I'm afraid. I think maybe I'm in the same spot I was in last year at this time almost. If it wasn't for my new calling in the Young Women's, that is causing me to stretch and go out of my comfort zone, I would probably be the same spiritually, as well; which is not a good thing, either. It is hard to keep growing and expanding in the right direction, isn't it? (I can always expand at the waistline, easy enough, however) It is easy to go backwards, however. Why is that? I'm constantly amazed at how fast time flys by. Even when I'm lonely and discouraged, time is still hurrying on. Each day goes by quickly and I wonder what I have accomplieshed to further the Kingdom of our Heavenly Father. I can easily see what I do to spend my time--but I'm not always sure it is spent doing the right things. I love this time of year, it always reminds me of Delbert hunting and spending time in the mountains. I love the mountains--they remind me of family and family reunions and camping trips. We need to spend time with our families doing the things that will bind us together for eternity. That is what matters! The gospel of Jesus Christ is the path we need to follow to keep us together as a family. We all need to do what we can to follow the commandments and be happy. Thanks for listening to me be on my soap box; but I am constantly amazed at how quickly time passes and I am still trying to accomplish the same things. I am so amazed at how quickly your children are growing up and becoming such wonderful children. Thanks for being such great parents and doing the right things to create eternal families. Thanks for creating ties that bind and won't break.

And the other thing I love about fall, is BYU FOOTBALL. The first game is August 30th @ 4:00 p.m. against Northern Iowa. We will be there in attendance! So wait for pictures of the current BYU FANS extraordinary!!!

Love you all more than I can say. Grandma O

Graduation

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who came and supported me at my graduation. It was great to spend time with Naomi, Amanda, Heidi, Louis, Mom and Cassie. You guys are great! It was like a fun girls only weekend, except for Louis of course. I appreciate the sacrifices your families made to share you too. Thanks to all my family for the support and love you've all given me that's made me who I am today.

All my love!
Tiera

Here are some pictures we took before my graduation!
